US Client info

We have assembled the most up-to-date and correct information, however, ultimately it is the customers’ responsibility to understand the laws and regulations that apply to their state. Please reach out to us if you have specific questions.

Local taxes (GST and PST) will apply.

Slide-in campers, once assembled, are considered cargo and can be imported free of duty as campers are considered “accessories of the motor vehicle

We provide you with a bill of sale, a certificate of origin, and a serial number plate on the camper. No formal clearance form is needed and no customs broker is necessary as it is for personal use and considered cargo and it is accompanied by the consignee (buyer)

Truck campers are considered cargo, not technically recreational vehicles, and therefore do not need a VIN number. The serial number we provide can often be used in place of a VIN.

Truck Campers generally do not need to be registered or have license plates, but this may vary state by state. Please contact your local DMV for more information.

Warranty

The seller will warranty all supplied materials for 12 months starting at the date of delivery. Covered are material defects and manufacturing defects. Not covered: modifications, alterations, and the use of other adhesive brands and types. The seller will be responsible for either repairing or replacing defective components. In case parts are deemed unusable, a refund will be issued with the seller arranging for pick-up of components. The seller will not be responsible to reimburse the purchaser for shipping costs, warehousing, and other related costs resulting from repair or replacement delays.

For our DIY clients, we can not provide a warranty on our workmanship or installations. Once the camper leaves our shop, we cannot control what a DIY customer does to their shell as this could lead to damage or misuse. However, if there is an issue with our workmanship, we will do our best to rectify the problem. If you are wanting a rock solid warranty, we are able to offer this on campers that are built out and completed in our shop.

Each part comes with its own manufacturer warranty. For example, the Arctic Tern windows are warranted by Tern Overland to be free of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
